Cyber Security | Dartford & north Kent
Find out how far a real attacker could get into your systems before one tries. Our in-house testers probe your network, Wi-Fi, Microsoft 365, cloud and websites, then explain every finding in plain English with a ranked plan to fix it.
Book a pen testWhat is penetration testing?
Penetration testing, often shortened to pen testing or called ethical hacking, is a planned and fully authorised attack on your own IT. A qualified tester uses the same tools and tricks criminals rely on to look for ways into your network, cloud services and web applications, then proves which of those weaknesses can genuinely be used against you.
That is what separates it from a vulnerability scan. A scan is an automated tool that produces a list of potential issues. A pen test adds human judgement: the tester weeds out false alarms, links minor flaws together the way a real attacker would and tells you which problems carry real risk for your business.
The result is evidence you can act on, with a prioritised fix list in your hands before a criminal, an insurer, a major customer or an auditor finds the gaps for you.

Our services
Start with a free look at what you expose to the internet, or put regular testing in place with our own cyber team. Either way, you get a fixed price before any work starts.
A fast review of everything your business has on the public internet, aimed at the openings an attacker would notice first.
Scheduled testing by our in-house specialists, so your defences keep pace as your business grows and changes.
Common findings
Most breaches start with something ordinary. These weaknesses are easy to overlook from the inside and easy for attackers to spot.
Servers, login portals and admin panels visible to the whole internet when they should not be.
Credentials that are simple to guess, shared between systems or left unchanged for years.
Devices and software running with insecure defaults or settings that fall short of best practice.
Loose sharing, missing sign-in protection and risky settings in Microsoft 365, Azure or AWS.
Flaws in your website, customer portal or web apps that could expose data or let attackers in.

Why it matters
Attackers look for easy targets, not famous names. A firm on Crossways Business Park, a practice in the town centre or a growing team in Ebbsfleet is just as likely to be probed as a household brand. A penetration test shows exactly where you are exposed and what to tackle first.
A pen test helps you:
How it works
Testing live systems should never feel like a gamble. Before we start, we agree in writing what is in scope, when testing happens, what is off limits and who we contact if anything looks unusual.
We confirm which systems are included, the type of test and how deep it goes.
We identify the key systems, user accounts and entry points an attacker would target.
We hunt for weaknesses and prove which ones can actually be exploited.
Work is paced and controlled so your team can carry on as normal.
You receive a clear report, and once fixes are in we check they worked.
Your report
The report is what you keep long after testing ends, so we write it for two readers: the person who approves the budget and the person who carries out the fixes.
You get a concise executive summary for decision makers, plus a full technical section listing every finding with its risk rating, supporting evidence and step-by-step remediation. We then walk you through the results on a call so the priorities are clear.
We test for organisations throughout Dartford, Greenhithe, Swanscombe, Stone, Wilmington, Bexley, Swanley, Longfield, Gravesend and Ebbsfleet, as well as the wider Thames Gateway.
External, cloud and web application tests are carried out remotely. Internal network and Wi-Fi testing can be done on site anywhere in the local area.
Frequently asked questions
It is an authorised, simulated attack on your IT carried out by a security professional. The tester uses real attacker techniques to find weaknesses, confirms which ones can be exploited and explains how to fix them.
A vulnerability scan is automated and produces a list of possible issues. A penetration test is led by a person who verifies which issues are genuine, combines smaller flaws the way an attacker would and ranks the results by their real impact on your business.
An external test covers everything reachable from the internet, such as your website, email and remote access. An internal test shows what an intruder could reach once inside, for example through a stolen laptop or a compromised account. Most businesses begin with external testing and add internal later, and we advise on the right mix during scoping.
External, cloud and web application testing is done remotely. Internal network and Wi-Fi tests may need a visit, which we can arrange for businesses in and around Dartford.
It should not. Scope, timings and exclusions are agreed in writing beforehand, and we avoid techniques likely to knock systems offline. If anything unexpected happens, we pause and contact your nominated person straight away.
Price depends on what is being tested and how large it is. Once the scope is agreed you receive a fixed quote, so there are no surprises later.
A small external test can often be completed within a few days. Larger internal or application tests take longer, and we give you a timeline before work begins.
Cyber Essentials confirms that core security controls are in place. A penetration test goes a step further by showing whether an attacker could get past them. Many organisations use both, with Cyber Essentials as the baseline and pen testing for real-world assurance.
Yes. We review how your tenant is configured, including sign-in protection, admin accounts, sharing settings and email security, and show you where it can be tightened.
Yes. We examine your cloud setup for exposed services, weak access controls and risky configuration, then give you clear steps to resolve each issue.
Usually the live system, because that is what an attacker would target. We test it carefully within the agreed limits. If a system is fragile or business critical, testing a copy is an option we can discuss.
At least once a year, plus after any significant change such as a new website, a new business system or a move to the cloud. Some insurers and customers now expect annual testing as standard.
We talk you through the findings on a call so you know what to fix first. When the fixes are in place, we retest to confirm they worked.
A short executive summary for decision makers and a detailed technical section for whoever handles the fixes. Each finding includes its risk level, the evidence behind it and the steps to resolve it.
